Who is Horticap?
Located at the beautiful Bluecoat Wood Nurseries on Otley Road, Horticap is a registered charity with a mission that truly blossoms. They offer adults with learning and other disabilities in the Harrogate district invaluable training in horticulture, allied crafts, and rural skills. More than just a training centre, Horticap is a vibrant and supportive environment where individuals can develop new abilities, build confidence, and make friends.
Their students are involved in all aspects of running the nursery, from propagating and nurturing plants to customer service in their well-stocked shop and popular tea room. The skills learned at Horticap empower students, fostering independence and providing a sense of purpose and achievement.
